Called up to see if desserts were offered. Yes - and a fine selection. On arrival were told there would be a substantial wait as we had a minor in our group and we should've made a reservation. THAT would have been helpful information when we were on the phone. Left after 40 minutes and no table. Did make a reservation for the upcoming Saturday night. On arrival Saturday night at 6:30 big ol' closed sign. Something major must've come up to be closed on a busy night on Labor Day weekend. Lesson here is take a phone number with reservations to call off guests. I've been in before and staff was fun. The menu looks amazing and I *hope* we get a chance to try it out while in town.

I go to this restaurant often when visiting the NEK. It offers excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. However the food is below average. The burgers are frozen patties, chicken tenders are the frozen (Costco?) variety as well. The prime rib is their specialty and looks good, but I have yet to try it. It is the only Bar/Restaurant until you get to St. Johnsbury, which I try to avoid. So it's ok to have a few beers and and average meal, albeit with friendly servers, but the food should be better.

Very good!!! Stopped here while riding the Rail Trail. During covid so did take put but could gets drinks to go!!! Not more you can ask for!

Cozy place to stop in at with friendly staff. Only had the nachos but those were great—think homemade nachos done right—with a decent local beer selection. There's ample seating in both the bar area and the main restaurant.

Good food and fast and friendly service

We went on a Friday night and had a party of 4. The dining room was not open and our choices were to sit outside on the deck or to wait for a table in the small bar area. Once the sun went down it got chilly. One reason we decided to go was because of the salad bar which was on the web site. There was no salad bar and the menu has a limited choices and was expensive.

Have been there twice both times great

Wanted to check out Goodfellas after changing ownership and we were not disappointed. Food was served hot by a staff member, more seating available and new items on the menu. Kudos to you all and we will see you again soon!

Proportion vs price is terrible. They look like an american sports bar trying to hard to be kitsche. Spent $30 on a $15 meal. Service was lackluster. Won't eat there again.

Great service with friendly staff and a warm rustic feeling. Drinks aren't too expensive and they have nightly deals that cater to different tastes in beverages. A great place to go whether you're taking the whole family out or just meeting up with a friend to unwind from a work day. The food is American based with plenty of options to choose from. The appetizers are not made up of your generic options that you would find at every other restaurant. Great patio setup for warmer days, the rooms are somewhat divided so you can pick your atmosphere - from dining room, tavern/bar area, patio, and a play room with pool table, flat screen and a couple of classically entertaining arcade style games that are kid friendly.

Food has been quite decent on numerous visits, service above average for this area. Probably best consistency overall for this very rural part of Vermont. Try it, look at creative specials.

I wish this was still a restaurant. The pub is overrated/crowded and the "game room" looks like an afterthought.

I eat here often because of the few choices. But the food us mediocre with never a choice of vegetable...whatever they have you get. Sometimes the service is a little slow. Must be a good bar...always loads of. People there but again not too many bars around

Arrived just before 6, just in time to beat the rush. No wait for table, very friendly and efficient staff. Drinks arrived quickly and food was spectacular!

You need reservations! We're new to the area and didn't know and they still made room at the bar for us.Great salad (I always forget to take a picture before I eat)! Great fish and chips! Great pasta! Everything was super tasty and they had a huge drink menu too!Lucky to be 5 mins from such a delicious restaurant!

We stopped in for dinner this past weekend there were 8 in our party. Melissa and Gwen accomodated us with ease. The food was great and the service was spot on. They were crowded and they were always available to get what ever we needed. I have been to this restaurant before and I will definitely be back again. Put it on you list. Give it a try.

Food is awesome

We stopped going to Good Fella's about six years ago due to the fact the food was terrible. Finally went back after hearing some good things about the new owners. We went back about the middle of this summer and now have nothing but good things to say about the restaurant. The menu is limited but the items are well made.
